Tony’s 53lbs Weight Loss Journey

(The following is an edited transcript of an interview with Tony Weiske.)

When did you start losing weight with Achieve Weight Loss?

February 2, 2019 and it is now June 4, 2019.

How much have you lost?

Fifty-three pounds in four months and it has been easy; that is the best part. My wife, Leslie, has lost twenty-six pounds also in the last four months.

What has made this easy for you?

I think that it is something that is sustainable. We’re not giving up a lot of the things that you’d think you’d have to give up to go on a weight loss program. We are still able to enjoy the foods we like to enjoy. It is simply a matter of making smarter choices.

What are some of the foods you like?

We have learned a lot of different ways to make chicken; a lot of different ways to make fish.  We eat a lot of the same things we used to eat but instead of regular meatballs we use turkey meatballs or instead of regular pasta we use low-carb pasta (ex: Fiber Gourmet). It is just as good as regular white pasta and I can’t tell the difference. Achieve Weight Loss is just easy to do.

Have you done weight loss before?

Leslie likes to try new things. I have thrown away hundreds of dollars of raspberry ketone pills, Nutrisystem foods, etc. It just wasn’t something that was sustainable. It was too easy to quit; to make bad choices. I think a lot of it is getting in the right mindset.

Have you come off medications?

I am lucky at 53 years old that I don’t have to take medication. Since starting Achieve Weight Loss Leslie no longer has to take insulin shots. Her blood sugars have been a lot better. I just feel better. I have more energy. I don’t get winded as fast. My back, hips and knees feel better. Just to be able to bend over and tie your shoes without struggling is great.

Have you reached your goal weight?

I still have another 21 pounds to go, but I feel this is something I can continue.

How do you deal with Junk Days?

We just plan for those. We went out to dinner and enjoyed the “Junk Food”  and the next day we jumped back into a Healthy Day and a few days later we were back down in our weight.

Did the daily motivational emails help you?

They did when we first started. I was of the mindset that I was going to do this, but the extra encouragement was important.

What caused you to decide to do Achieve Weight Loss?

I realized it was time to make a change. I just didn’t feel good anymore. I wasn’t proud of who I was. I didn’t have the energy to do the things with my children and grandchildren. Once you get the mindset that it is time to do it, it is easy to do. If you are forced to do it (participate in a weight loss program) it is not going to work. It is an individual choice. Six months ago I never thought I’d wake up in the morning to see what I’d weigh today.

Any final thoughts?

The Achieve Weight Loss program has been great. I can’t tell you how many people I have recommended to contact you. The program is not hard to do and you can achieve your goals.
